Procurement Manager
Summary
The Procurement Manager at Knauf Gypsum Philippines plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials and finished goods. This position also manages cross-functional requisitions, monitors expenses, and contributes to organizational savings through strategic procurement decisions. Without this role, the organization would face inefficiencies, increased costs, and potential disruptions in the availability of goods and services.
The Procurement Manager will also work closely with Knauf regional and global procurement teams to achieve strategic company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligning with organizational goals.
- Optimize sourcing processes for both raw materials and finished goods.
- Cross-Functional Requisitions
- Manage procurement requests from HR, Sales, Marketing, and Accounting departments.
- Ensure timely and cost-efficient fulfillment of requisitions while maintaining compliance.
- Budget Management
- Handle the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Implement cost-saving measures through strategic negotiations and supplier relationships.
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms to enhance partnerships.
- Expense Monitoring
- Monitor and analyze expenses related to procured services and goods.
- Implement controls to optimize spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Contract Management
- Manage supplier/vendor to meet their obligations to deliver the objectives required from the contract, on time, in quality and specification and within budget.
- Ensures that Knauf and its interest are protected legally thru contracts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Preferably with experience in a Managerial role and knowledgeable of international trade regulations.
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction-related industry is a must
